Past & present

Laying the foundations for Singapore’s manufacturing industry.

As one of Singapore’s first industrial estates, Sungei Kadut played a major role in turning around our nation’s fortunes during the early years. It provided much needed jobs and attracted foreign investments. Most importantly, it pioneered Singapore’s manufacturing sector, sowing seeds that grew into an economic pillar that accounts for over 20% of Singapore’s economy in 2018.
Past & present

Transforming manufacturing for the future of Singapore.

Today, Sungei Kadut plays an even bigger role. Transformed to meet the changing needs of the manufacturing industry, it will be home to high-tech businesses and knowledge-based jobs that draw a modern workforce. It will be a place where old industries become new again, and where new industries—like agri-food technology and environmental technology—will find the perfect reasons to take root in Singapore.
Precincts

Sungei Kadut. Rejuvenated from the inside out.

Four new precincts—built specially for agri-food technology, waste management and recycling, metal, timber and furniture industries—make up the new Sungei Kadut Eco-District.

Where stretches of ad hoc factories used to lie, you’ll now find industry clusters of synergistic businesses housed in multi-tenanted developments such as Agri-Food Innovation Park and Kranji Green.

You can also look forward to plenty of greenery and lifestyle amenities, thanks to a highly-connected network of nature trails and activity corridors.
